Counselling
I currently offer counselling to any person over the age of sixteen, regardless of race, religion, gender, marital status, or sexual orientation.
I am a registered counsellor with COSCA (Scotland's professional body for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I adhere to COSCA's statement of ethics and codes of practice (for further details, please access the following link): http://www.cosca.org.uk/guidance-policies/ethics
If you have any complaints these can be made through the COSCA complaints procedure: http://www.cosca.org.uk/guidance-policies/complaints
What is counselling?

What to expect from Counselling
At your appointment, you'll be encouraged to talk about your feelings and emotions with a trained therapist, who'll listen and support you without judging or criticising.
The therapist can help you gain a better understanding of your feelings and thought processes, and find your own solutions to problems. But they won't usually give advice or tell you what to do.
Next Steps...
Contact Mike Heron to make your initial appointment.
If you are still not sure if counselling is for you or that you need to know a bit more first, I am happy to answer any queries that you might have.
